Li Scholarship awarded to 96 students from NCKU

TAINAN--National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), announced the recipients of the 22nd K.Y. Li Scholarship on April 26th. The 96 students who have been granted the scholarship would each receive NT$10,000 (US$346) and a certificate.
Dozens of professors and guests, including former university presidents Jer-Ru Maa and Zheng-Yi Weng, Vice President Hong-Sen Yan, Director Chii-Jeng Lin of Office of Student Affairs, Dean Pao-Shan Yu of College of Engineering and Chairman Kuo-Chin Chuang of Far East Machinery Co., Ltd., attended the awarding ceremony.
The K.Y. Li Scholarship funds are primarily donated by Prof. Ke-Yang Li's disciples who continue to express gratitude and care for the professor and his wife. The awards are given to outstanding NCKU engineering students to recognize their academic performance and to easing their financial burdens.
“I'm very touched to see that each year Prof. Li personally creates his own cards for the awarded students,” said Vice President Hong-Sen Yan.“It is not the amount of the award that matters but the love embedded within that truly shows the spirit of NCKU.
