TECO, AIT to certify Good Laboratory Practice Certificate

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- The Taipei Economic and Culture Office and the American Institute in Taiwan recently announced a partnership on Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) certification, said Chen Chieh-shan, head of Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection, yesterday.

With the partnership, the U.S. will recognize Taiwan exports, such as pesticides and industrial-use chemicals, as GLP-certified if these products were tested by GLP-related institutes, Chen said.

This will expedite Taiwan exports to the U.S., he said.
