Chinese Gamer Int'l rises to one-month high

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Chinese Gamer International Corp. rose to a one-month high in Taipei trading on expectations of “good” February sales, said Capital Securities Corp. Vice President Diana Wu. The stock surged by the 6.9 percent daily limit to NT$333.15 as of 1:25 p.m., the highest since Feb. 5.

“Sales would definitely be good, given the long Chinese New Year holiday in February for both students and adults,” said Wu in a telephone interview in Taipei, without saying giving an estimate. Chinese Gamer spokesman Leu Shyuen-sen wasn't immediately available for a comment at his office in Taipei.
