China Steel posts January pretax profit of NT$4.18 bil.

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- China Steel Corp., Taiwan's biggest maker of the metal, posted a pretax profit of NT$4.18 billion (US$130 million) in January, the company said in an e-mailed statement Tuesday, without giving a comparison.
