Economic planning officials said December's unemployment figure should be lower than that of November as the government's job creation and other employment-boosting programs have gradually borne fruit. The unemployment rate in November edged down 0.1 percent from the October level to 5.86 percent, marking the third straight month that the jobless rate saw a decline.
