Chanel unveils expanded Kaohsiung boutique

KAOHSIUNG, Taiwan -- Chanel unveiled a new concept fashion boutique in Kaohsiung yesterday. With the new store-within-a-store for fine jewelry and watches on the ground floor of Han-Shin Department Store, the fashion powerhouse aims to offers the best in luxurious and classic style in an artisticaland unique environment.

The warm and sophisticated atmosphere of the new boutique is inspired by the fabled Paris apartment of Mademoiselle Chanel. Decorated in her favorite colors, black and white, the 6 meter storefront presents the iconic packaging of world-famous perfume No. 5. High, grand panels made from gold woven fabrics layered under transparent glass create a mirror-like reflection in the jewelry section display. Rich in spatial layering, forms and materials, an interior world of this inner jewelry boutique is created which embodies in a strikingly luxurious lifestyle, including handmade wallpaper with a horizontal pattern in gold beige.

Walking into the cozy ready-to-wear room with two fine fitting rooms, exquisite tweed sofas and tables create a residential atmosphere. One of the fitting rooms is decorated with a pair of gold lamps, a black leather sofa and a screen which allows customers to try on Chanel couture comfortably. LCD lights and mirrors allow customers sampling clothes to feel like runway models.

Next time you're in Kaohsiung, stop by Han-shin department store, to spend some time at the expanded Chanel boutique. Each interior design detail will amaze you for sure!
