Updated Friday, May 22, 2009 9:46 am TWN, The China Post news staff Protesters call on Apple, Wintek to stop exploitationIn an open letter issued to Apple Computer, the protectors asked the firm to request its contract maker Wintek to drop its decision to lay off employees in Taiwan and mainland China, to improve its working conditions, and to allow a third-party labor group to investigate manufacturing operations at plants, and asked for direct dialogue between Wintek labor representatives and Apple Computer officials.
