Russian skates to gold in Taipei

Gold medalist Alina Zagitova, center, of Russia, poses with silver medalist Marin Honda, left, and bronze medalist Kaori Sakamoto of Japan after competing in the junior women's free skating the ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships 2017 in Taipei, Saturday, March 18. Zagitova obtained a total of 208.60 points after finishing with 138.02 in free skating, both marking her best personal scores. The silver medal went to Marin Honda of Japan, who received a total score of 201.61, including 133.26 in free skating. Kaori Sakamoto of Japan won the bronze medal with a total score of 195.54, after ending with 127.76 in free skating. Taiwan's Amy Lin (林仁語) took 21st place with a total score of 125.91.
