TAIPEI, Taiwan -- A climate change painting competition's cooperating sponsors and the winning students were invited to celebrate the opening of the exhibition in the hope of expanding awareness about the event and allowing global visitors to show their support and concern for climate change issues, said the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE, 永續能源基金會) yesterday.
TAISE Chairman Eugene Chien (簡又新) was also present with guests and winners of the competition.
This year's exhibition TAISE also featured "Check in Action," allowing visitors to upload their photos of the exhibition to the TAISE fans page and use their smartphones to check-in to the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport Terminal 2, where they will receive a set of three Climate Change Ecology Postcards. TAISE will also select photographs from the entries for publication on its official website (taise.org.tw).
After the 2014 Climate Change Painting Competition exhibits at the Taoyuan International Airport, the exhibition will move to the Kaohsiung International Airport's restricted access area's Ever Rich Cultural Art Gallery from Sept. 14 through Nov. 30.
