Jeremy Lin set for week's visit to Taiwan on July 16

TAIPEI -- Houston Rockets point guard Jeremy Lin (林書豪) is set to land in Taiwan July 16 for a weeklong visit in what has become an annual tradition for the NBA star, according to adidas, the sponsor of the visit.

The sports brand said it will start the festivities ahead of time by selling limited Jeremy Lin edition sneakers at its flagship store on Zhongxiao East Road in Taipei beginning 11 a.m. Saturday.

The shoes will come with assorted merchandise sure to delight fans, not the least of which is two tickets to a meet-and-greet event with the hugely popular Taiwanese American player.

Lin's packed schedule includes publicity events on July 17 and 18. That will be followed by a youth basketball camp on July 19 and 20 with guest coach Steve Novak of the Toronto Raptors.

More details are set to be released ahead of the visit.
