H7N9 ruled out in case of second Chinese tourist

TAIPEI -- A Chinese tourist who fell ill with symptoms similar to those of H7N9 avian flu has tested negative for the virus, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) said Wednesday.

The tourist has been plagued by fatigue and developed a fever after contact with another woman in the same tour group, who was confirmed the previous day to be infected with H7N9, the CDC said.
