Taiwan forecast to have wind, rain starting today

TAIPEI -- Chances of rain could increase from today under the influence of a weather front and strengthening seasonal winds, the Central Weather Bureau said Monday.

Northern and Eastern parts of the country, as well as mountainous areas in Central and Southern Taiwan, could see showers or thunderstorms, forecasters said.

The rainy weather is expected to continue into April 24, according to the bureau.

On Tuesday, temperatures could hover between 21 and 26 degrees Celsius in northern Taiwan, 22 and 31 degrees in central Taiwan, and 24 and 29 degrees in southern Taiwan, the bureau said.
