Northern Taiwan could see showers from Sunday

TAIPEI--The abundant sunshine northern Taiwan has seen over the past week will give way to rain from later Sunday under influence of a weather front, the Central Weather Bureau said Saturday.

The weather fluctuations are also likely to affect mountainous areas in Central and Southern Taiwan, bringing sporadic showers to the regions, forecasters said.

On Sunday, temperatures are expected to range between 22 and 31 degrees Celsius in Northern Taiwan, 23 to 31 degrees in Central Taiwan, and 24 to 30 degrees in the south.

The rainy weather could bring daytime high temperatures further down by about four degrees in northern Taiwan from Monday, according to the bureau.
