TAIPEI--Warm weather is forecast to prevail throughout Taiwan during the weekend, with daytime temperatures likely to hit over 30 degrees Celsius in the western half of the country, the Central Weather Bureau said yesterday.

Cloudy to sunny skies are expected in most areas, while people in eastern Taiwan could see sporadic showers, according to the forecast.

Temperatures are expected to range between 19 to 32 degrees in northern Taiwan, 21-31 degrees in central Taiwan, and 23-32 degrees in southern Taiwan, the bureau said.
