Water Resource Agency urges water conservation

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- The Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) and the Water Resource Agency (WRA) encouraged the nation to begin water conservation during the latter part of the dry season.

As the annual dry season approaches an end, Taiwan is once again looking at up to two months of potential water regulation by the WRA as water reserves are projected to hit lows across the nation. In preparation, MOEA deputy minister Shen Jong-chin (沈榮津) and WRA director-general Yang Wei-fu (楊偉甫) invited executive members from the Taiwan Water Corporation (TWC, 台灣自來水公司) and representatives of the five major cities — Taipei, New Taipei, Taichung, Tainan and Kaoshiung — to participate in the national "Love Water Save Water Taiwan Let's Go" movement to endorse the campaign.
