The Central Weather Bureau (CWB) yesterday said the cold air mass' influence on the nation is expected to ease up beginning today until Thursday, noting that during daytime the mercury will gradually rise, and rain showers are not widely expected across the island.
The bureau noted that although the cold air mass is weakening and dry weather is expected, the temperature will still vary significantly from day to night, and suggested people to dress warmer and beware of the temperature difference.
The CWB forecast that another strong cold air mass will arrive the island on Jan. 18, and the cold spell will push the mercury down again across the island.
