The bureau forecast temperatures of between 10 and 12 degrees for Northern Taiwan and lows of 10 degrees in Central Taiwan and 12 degrees in Southern Taiwan on Sunday night.
Once the cold air mass leaves the island on Monday, temperatures will warm up to a high of 22 degrees in Northern Taiwan and between 22 and 26 degrees in central and Southern Taiwan, according to the bureau.
The fair weather will remain until the evening of Jan. 9, when the bureau predicts another cold air mass will bring temperatures to a low of 10 degrees in northern and central parts of Taiwan along with occasional showers.
