Lin Hong-dow voted as nation's new Games head

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Lin Hong-dow (林鴻道) was voted as the new president of the Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee (CTOC, 中華奧會) yesterday.

An incumbent CTOC vice president, Lin yesterday pledged that he will lead the CTOC for the next four years after learning of the election result.

Lin added that he will be ready to do his best in facing the upcoming challenges including the 2014 Incheon Asian Games in South Korea and 2016 Olympics to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Lin was chosen as the new CTOC head during a vote by 63 CTOC members yesterday.
