Seasonal winds expected to usher in cooler temps
CNATAIPEI--Temperatures in Taiwan will drop significantly later Monday due to increasing seasonal winds, which have already brought showers across the country, the Central Weather Bureau said.

It forecast lows of 15 to 18 degrees Celsius for most areas island-wide, and around 13 degrees in coastal and open areas.
The moisture brought by the seasonal winds is also expected to cause rainy weather, especially in northern and eastern Taiwan, as well as in mountainous areas in central and southern Taiwan, forecasters said.
The rain and cooler temperatures should begin to ease off by Wednesday, the bureau said.
Until then, temperatures are expected to range between 13 and 19 degrees in northern Taiwan, 14 and 24 degrees in central Taiwan, and 17 and 27 in southern Taiwan, it said.
