Real estate agency holds job fair for 3,600 new positions

TAIPEI--Yung Ching Realty Group, one of Taiwan's leading real estate agencies, held a job exhibition in Taipei yesterday seeking 3,600 new recruits to support the company's future expansion.

The job fair, held jointly with job bank yes123, was aimed at finding people who are interested in the property market and have the enthusiasm necessary to do the job, Yung Ching said.

The property sales agency said employees recruited at the job fair will be offered a guaranteed monthly salary of NT$50,000 (US$1,689) for the first nine months they are employed.

After that, the newcomers will earn an undisclosed base salary plus bonuses based on their performance, the company said.

Yung Ching said many jobseekers were lined up for an interview with company executives soon after the job fair opened because of the attractive guaranteed salary, which is much higher than the starting wages many companies offer to new college graduates.

The newcomers will also receive 360 hours of job training and education after they are hired, reflecting the real estate agency's belief that people are its most important asset, said Lee Ming-chung, a manager in Yung Ching's human resources division.

Yung Ching also has a unique culture of encouraging employees to find their future spouse in the company, get married and settle down, Lee said.

Yung Ching said the 3,600 new recruits will be stationed in Taipei and New Taipei. The company currently has about 15,000 employees working in 1,015 stores island-wide.
