72 cities to send delegates to summit in Kaohsiung
CNAKAOHSIUNG -- The mayors or delegates of 72 domestic and foreign cities will attend the 2013 Asia-Pacific Cities Summit (APCS) slated to take place Sept. 9-11 in the southern Taiwan portcity of Kaohsiung, according to city government data.

As of Tuesday, 47 mayors had said they will take part in the regional forum for civic and business leaders. They include the mayors of six Taiwanese municipalities and cities — New Taipei, Taoyuan, Tainan, Pingtung, Yilan and Kaohsiung, the data indicates.
The foreign cities whose administrators or delegates will attend the biennial event include Brisbane in Australia, Vienna in Austria, Honolulu and Seattle in the United States, Kumamoto in Japan, Incheon in South Korean, Tianjin in China, and the Kumgangsan tourism special administration district of North Korea, the city government said.
