The veteran rock band left the audience spellbound during the 3.5-hour concert, with hit songs including “Viva Love,” “Three Fools” and “Stubborn.” Tens of thousands of glow sticks created a spectacle at the concert.
The band also stirred the audience with its “Leaving the Surface of the Earth,” which saw passionate fans jumping up and down to the music, shaking the floor of the Beijing National Stadium.
A video appearance of Taiwanese actor and special guest Nicky Wu on a big screen as a news anchor reporting news about the band also sent the audience into a frenzy.
The concert was the last of 50 concerts Mayday performed in 31 cities in China on its “Noah's Ark” world tour of 40 cities.
The band attracted a record 200,000 people over two days at the stadium in April last year. No other singers or bands have surpassed that figure.
