Taoyuan Airport ninth-best Asian airport: recent survey
CNATAIPEI--Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport took ninth place in a recent survey on Asia's best airports released by leading hotel booking site Agoda.com.

A total of 11,000 travelers who flew into 15 major capital cities in Asia were asked to give an overall rating on a scale of 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent) for their perceptions of airport facilities such as signage, food selection, rest options and number of bathrooms.
Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, which handled 28 million passengers in 2012, rated 3.38, only one spot behind the Beijing Capital International Airport (3.48), which handled 82 million passengers in the same year, second only to Hartsfield-Jackson airport in Atlanta, Georgia, according to the survey.
Singapore's Changi Airport topped the list with an overall rating of 4.37, followed by Hong Kong International Airport, which was rated 4.13 and Seoul's Incheon International Airport in South Korea, which ranked third with a score of 4.01, it said. Agoda.com, which is part of Nasdaq-listed Priceline Group, said in the survey that the passenger number at Taiwan's main gateway is expected to soar to 43 million once construction of a third terminal is completed by 2018.
