The website gave its list of the city's most appealing features, ranging from election culture to the attraction of Mother Nature.
First and foremost, BuzzFeed lists Taipei's convenience stores, where people can go to pay tuition fees, have meals, print concert tickets, send express mail and buy handles of liquor around the clock.
Other 24/7 services in the city include a bookstore, indoor shrimping and karaoke, the report goes on.
With access to the mountainous Yangmingshan National Park by bus and the pristine beaches of Kenting in the south of Taiwan by high-speed trains, Taipei residents and visitors can get out and enjoy nice weather.
The report also raves about Taiwan's sub cultural attractions, including “weird” restaurants with themes like a prison, Barbie dolls, hospitals and toilets.
BuzzFeed goes so far as to refer to “baby's explosive diarrhea, “really just a bowl of green curry at the toilet-themed restaurant, as “enticing fare.”
It also praises Taipei's unique cafes, telling the coffee-famous city of Seattle to “eat it,” as “coffee shops are basically bars in Taipei.”
