Magnitude-5.6 quake hits Eastern Taiwan: CWBCNA TAIPEI--A magnitude-5.6 earthquake jolted Eastern Taiwan at 11:36 a.m. yesterday, according to the Central Weather Bureau.
March 8, 2013, 12:16 am TWN The earthquake's epicenter was located 37.5 km north of the Hualien County Hall at a depth of 15.2 km, bureau officials said. The strongest tremor, with an intensity of 5, was felt in Nanshan Township in northeastern Taiwan's Yilan County and in the Techi area of Taichung in the central part of the country.
