Daily highs across the country are likely to plummet by more than 12 degrees compared with a day ago. Taiwan had seen highs in the upper 20s over the past few days.
Overnight temperatures could drop to 11 degrees in northern and northeastern Taiwan, while southern Taiwan could expect lows at 14 degrees, the bureau said.
Meanwhile, chances of rain are likely to remain high until next Tuesday, when the cold weather could start to ease off as well, forecasters said.
