US dollar rises NT$0.044 to finish day at NT$29.702

TAIPEI -- The U.S. dollar rose against the New Taiwan dollar yesterday, gaining NT$0.044 to close at the day's high of NT$29.702.

Turnover totaled US$885 million during the trading session.

The greenback opened at NT$29.690 and reached a low of NT$29.620 before the close.
