TAIPEI, Taiwan -- James Harden downed his former team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, by jointly scoring 75 points with Jeremy Lin in a 122 to 119 home win for the Houston Rockets Wednesday.
Harden, who was traded to Houston before the start of the season, scored a career-high 46 points on 14-for-19 shooting, including 16 points in the fourth quarter, to lead the Rockets in a late-game rally for a comeback victory.
Lin, the first NBA player of Taiwanese descent, chipped in another 29 points on 12 for-22 shooting, with eight assists and six rebounds.
The game was the first victory of the season for the Rockets over the Thunder, which won both previous encounters, including a 30-point win in their last meeting. It also extended the 39-15 Thunder's losing streak to three.
On Harden's late-game stretch, Lin said that “if he is not up for MVP consideration, I mean, I don't know what else he needs to do.”
