Local contestant seeks to be Asia's Next Top Model

Kate Ma of Taiwan, Jessica Amornkuldilok of Thailand and Stephanie Retuya of the Philippines will compete in the show's finale. The show is an adaptation of American hit TV series “America's Next Top Model.”

The episode on the final stretch of the competition will see the three contestants seeking to turn in the best performance while modeling for a TV commercial and for a magazine cover photo, as well as walking the runway in a fashion show.

Ma, 22, has been modeling since she was 15. Her father is a Taiwanese national and her mother is Brazilian. The winner of the contest will be awarded prize money of some NT2.4 million (US$80,800), a car, a modeling contract and other benefits.
