Professor to serve as vice chair of finance regulator

TAIPEI--The Executive Yuan announced Friday that Jennifer Wang, a National Chengchi University professor, will serve as vice chairwoman of the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC).

Wang will fill the post vacated by Lee Jih-chu, who will serve as chairwoman of the Chunghwa Post Co.

The Executive Yuan said that in view of the fact that the FSC is currently pushing for cross-Taiwan Strait financial operations, it is seeking Wang's expertise in risk management, pension insurance, insurance finance, accounting and balance management.
