Cool temps forecast until Chinese New Year's EveCNA TAIPEI--A slightly cooler and wetter weather pattern is likely until Lunar New Year's Eve Feb. 9 due to seasonal winds, especially in Northern Taiwan, the Central Weather Bureau said yesterday.
February 8, 2013, 12:01 am TWN Average daytime temperatures could drop by 1-3 degrees Celsius around the island, while sporadic showers are likely in northern and northeastern parts of the country, the bureau said. However, the mercury could start to rise again from Feb. 10, with clear skies expected in most parts, it went on. According to forecasters, the mercury could hover between 15-19, 16-24 and 17-25 degrees Celsius in Northern, Central and southern Taiwan, respectively, over the next two days. |
