US dollar gains NT$0.005 to finish day at NT$29.585 on Taipei forex

TAIPEI -- The U.S. dollar rose against the Taiwan dollar yesterday, gaining NT$0.005 to close at NT$29.585.

Turnover totaled US$678 million during the trading session.

The greenback opened at the day's high of NT$29.620 and reached a low of NT$29.500 before the close.
