CNY family gatherings irk most office workers: pollCNA TAIPEI--Some 51 percent of office workers in Taiwan would prefer not to attend family gatherings during the Lunar New Year as they do not like being bombarded with personal questions, according to an online survey released yesterday.
January 23, 2013, 12:01 am TWN In the survey by 360d job bank, 52 percent of these office workers said they don't attend such gatherings because they are usually asked questions about relationships and marriage, while 31 percent of them said they are asked about their jobs and salaries. Some 49 percent said they do not like attending family functions because they are not close to their relatives. The respondents were allowed to select multiple options to the questions posed in the survey.
