US dollar increases NT$0.043 to end trade at NT$29.099 on Taipei forex

TAIPEI -- The U.S. dollar closed higher against the New Taiwan dollar yesterday, gaining NT$0.043 to close at NT$29.099.

Turnover totaled US$653 million during the trading session.

The U.S. currency opened at NT$29.070, and moved between NT$28.952 and NT$29.099 before the close.
