Chen Shui-bian takes fall in a hospital, needs carpet: doctorThe China Post By Enru Lin--Former President Chen Shui-bian needs a carpet in his hospital ward to prevent bone fractures, said his private physician yesterday.
January 15, 2013, 12:09 am TWN Kuo Cheng-deng (郭正典), a member of Chen's private medical team, said that his patient had taken a hard fall early morning on Sunday. At 4 a.m., the patient had gotten up to relieve himself, lost his balance and fell backwards onto a sofa. When Chen tried to get up, he again lost his balance and fell to the hospital floor, according to the physician. “Right now his shoulder is not doing well. When he moves it he is in pain,” Kuo posted to the social-networking website Facebook. The incident is one of many recent tumbles due to Chen's declining condition, he said. If his physical situation continues to worsen, the patient may ultimately fracture a bone. “I recommend that A-bian's ward be fitted with a carpet to reduce the likelihood of A-bian falling and injuring himself. But that is easier said than done,” he said. Kuo is a physician at Taipei Veterans General Hospital (台北榮總), where Chen has received treatment for disorders including clinical depression and cardiovascular disease since Sept. 21. The hospital responded on Monday that there are no plans in place to fit Chen's private ward with a carpet.

He must have a cold, hard floor like all the other common criminals, of which he is one. The only difference being he has shown not an iota of shame or remorse.
No carpets for the unrepentant.
