Travel information that is already established must cater to travelers more effectively via their digital devices, as many foreign tourists encounter inconvenience getting online when sightseeing, according to the bureau.
Without knowledge of their real-time locations, for instance, foreign backpackers might find it hard to carry out their itineraries, the bureau said.
Chao said the bureau is approaching major telecom operators to persuade them to provide free Wi-Fi services so that travel information can be more easily obtained.
