The digital centers in remote towns integrate each town's unique characteristics into the production of multimedia, including class materials, digital stories, and tourism guides, according to the ministry.
Following the establishment of the digital centers, many remote areas have produced e-books, the ministry said.
Pingtung County, for example, has completed 200 e-books with content ranging from the Hakka language to Taiwanese proverbs and indigenous fables.
The ministry noted that a page on a website that was set up to promote the digital centers will be dedicated to featuring e-learning achievements in remote towns.
