“It will serve as a direct window for both Taiwan and Toyama and will strengthen bilateral economic development,” the Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research (CIER), which is helping to facilitate the arrangement, said in a recent statement.
The goals of the office are to enhance trade cooperation, hold business seminars, and seek more business opportunities, the Taipei-based think tank said.
Toyama Prefecture Governor Takakazu Ishii is expected to attend the opening ceremony, along with other dignitaries and businessmen, the CIER said.
