World's fifth largest CCL maker returning to TaiwanCNA TAIPEI--ITEQ Corp., the world's fifth largest copper clad laminate (CCL) maker, said Saturday it will move NT$4.5 billion (US$155 million) of its investment back to Taiwan for high-end production within two years.
January 6, 2013, 12:01 am TWN The Taoyuan-based company, which has 80-85 percent of its production in China, said it has applied with Taiwan's Industrial Development Bureau to set up another plant at home. The company said it will need additional space because its facilities in Taoyuan County are not adequate for the high-end production it plans to move back to Taiwan. The plan is to establish a new plant somewhere between Taoyuan and Hsinchu counties — closer to ITEQ's downstream clients — at a cost of NT$4.5 billion, the company said. It said the details of the investment plan will become clearer in the second quarter of this year.
