Rockets lose to Jazz for 3rd straight away defeat

TAIPEI--The Houston Rockets lost their third consecutive game on the road in Salt Lake City on Monday, losing to the Utah Jazz 102-91 in a game that saw leading Houston scorer James Harden play less than 18 minutes due to illness.

Harden, who scored an average of 26 points prior to the game, only added six and had three assists during the first half for Houston, which trailed by 23 at one point in the second quarter, following a 13-point blitz by the Jazz.

Houston's point guard Jeremy Lin, who has been suffering from a shooting slump, scored six points with 4:31 left in the second quarter, which ended 61-44.

However, Lin only added three more points in the second half and the Rockets were unable to get close for the rest of the game. Lin shot five of 15 from the field and finished with 13 points, six rebounds, and three assists for Houston.

The Jazz shot an overall 40.2 percent, with five of the lineup scoring in the double-digits, compared with Houston's 34.9 percent.
