US dollar gains NT$0.014 to close at the day's high of NT$29.342 in Taipei

TAIPEI -- The U.S. dollar rose against the New Taiwan dollar yesterday, gaining NT$0.014 to close at the day's high of NT$29.342.

Turnover totaled about US$466 million during the trading session.

The U.S. unit opened at NT$29.339, off a low of NT$29.263 before rebounding at the close.
