Taking a closer look at 'The Heart of Asia'
The China Post news staffThe China Post news staff--The Tourism Bureau welcomes all residents and visitors to take part in the latest “Taiwan: The Heart of Asia” tourism promotion campaign to appreciate from various angles the unique tourism sites and experiences of the island.

The bureau has rolled out a series of online films illustrating the splendid and moving delights offered by the people, activities, and sceneries of Taiwan.
One of the seven films depicts the “heart of LOHAS” to describe the lifestyles of health and sustainability (LOHAS) of Taiwan.
The other six cover the “heart of shopping,” the “heart of ecology,” the “heart of culture,” the “heart of gourmet foods,” the “heart of romance,” and the “heart of general elements” available in Taiwan.
Participants can visit one of the bureau's websites — http://taiwan.net.tw — to appreciate the films and other content.
They may apply to become members of the “Taiwan Tourism Fans Group.”
All members may take part in a raffle for prizes that includes one Asus Transformer TF700T tablet PC, one HTC One X smartphone, one New Ipad tablet PC, one Nikon camera, and 20 NT$500 gift coupons.
The new “Taiwan: The Heart of Asia” event runs until Nov. 15, allowing more people to gain a better understanding about the multiple facets of Taiwan as well as win some prizes.
