US dollar gains NT$0.034 to finish at NT$29.320 on forex

TAIPEI -- The U.S. dollar rose against the New Taiwan dollar yesterday, gaining NT$0.034 to close at the day's high of NT$29.320.

Turnover totaled about US$508 million during the trading session.

The U.S. unit opened at NT$29.300, off a low of NT$29.200 before rebounding at the close.
