With higher individual rankings than South Korea, which also grabbed three gold medals and one silver, the Taiwanese team succeeded in defending the championship for the sixth year in a row, the official noted.

Tu Yi-hsiu and Chen Chien-ping of Taipei Municipal Jianguo High School and Tseng Min-tuan of the Affiliated Senior High School of National Taiwan Normal University each won a gold medal, while Peng Yi-ang of Kaohsiung Municipal Kaohsiung High School took the silver.
