Hon Hai likely to launch 60-inch LCD TVs within month: sources

In the initial stage, the sources said, Hon Hai Precision will put the new large-sized flat screen TVs, which serve as smart TVs equipped with Internet communication functions, on sale in Taiwan and China before promoting the products on the global market.

The launch will follow Hon Hai Precision's move to offer 60-inch TVs to hundreds of its employees at a preferential price of below NT$40,000.

The price asked by Hon Hai Precision from its employees is much lower than the prices asked by other 60-inch TV suppliers in the local market.
