US dollar gains ground to end trading at NT$29.402

TAIPEI -- The U.S. dollar rose against the New Taiwan dollar yesterday, gaining NT$0.06 to close at NT$29.402.

Turnover totaled about US$488 million during the trading session.

The U.S. unit opened at the day's high of NT$29.430, off a low of NT$29.310 before the close.
