Lu, Thai partner win men's doubles trophy

TAIPEI--Taiwan's top tennis player, Lu Yen-hsun, along with his partner Danai Udomchoke of Thailand, won the men's doubles title at the Thailand Open Sunday, defeating fourth seeds Eric Butorac of the U.S. and Australia's Paul Hanley 6-3, 6-4 in straight sets in Bangkok, Thailand.

The 29-year-old Lu, who was eliminated from the singles event, needed 1 hour and 13 minutes to wrap up the match with his partner.

The pair will share US$30,220 in prize money and earned 250 points in the doubles rankings, according to the ATP website.

The win is Lu's second ATP doubles title. Ranked 65th in men's singles, Lu won his first doubles title in India with Rainer Schuettler of Germany in 2005.
