Wang's exit marks social justice regression: activist

TAIPEI--Labor Minister Wang Ju-hsuan's resignation symbolized a serious regression of social justice and fairness, a labor rights activist said Friday.

“We are worried that her departure would dampen the morale of many Council of Labor Affairs (CLA) staff members,” said Hsieh Chuang-chih, secretary-general of the Taiwan Confederation of Trade Unions.

Hsieh lauded Wang for her devoted efforts to promote local wager earners' rights during her four-plus years as labor minister.
