Local vendors to cut price of older iPhones: reports

Prices for iPhone 4/4S could drop by NT$3,000 after the debut of iPhone 5, the United Evening News said.

It remains uncertain when iPhone 5, expected to be unveiled in the United States on Tuesday, will be available in Taiwan.

Telecom carriers were cited as saying that they had yet to receive any notification from Apple concerning pricing for older iPhones.

Far EasTone Telecommunications said whether the older smart phone models will become cheaper will depend on Apple's decision, according to the paper.
