The Taiwanese government should log in a protest by placing the USA beef amendments on hold until further notice or until the US steps in and ask Japan to open up talks with Taiwan over the islands. September 12, 2012 skier_rich@ So you're suggesting the US Beef issue be used as a political tool like the DPP tried to? That is comically absurd, considering the scale of Taiwan trade with the US vs. that of Japan. We would be committing economic suicide. September 17, 2012 skier_rich@ @krane - It is ridiculous to politicize this issue as you're suggesting when the two issues have absolutely nothing to do with each other. September 22, 2012 curtisakbar@ Of course USA is on the Japs side as under the WW2 peace treaty those islands were under Japanese control and only Taiwan was ceded back to China. October 5, 2012 ken_liu@ Keep dreaming Krane8, you are delusional. I bought some US beef at Carrefour yesterday. It was delicious! October 8, 2012 proliteguy@ Its easy to figure out why you should not eat US Beef, how can they farm thousands of cattle which involves doubling its size in 6 months without a blade of grass in sight ? You only have to look at the size of the average American to figure that one out, just don’t eat the stuff, do what S Korea and Japan does, tell them to sell it to someone else. |
